Drain: A Duet
Drain: A Duet (Winter) - This project was created in conjunction with the Albuquerque Public Art Program and Dr. Manuel Montoya, Associate Professor of Global Political Economy and Cultural Economics in the University of New Mexico’s Department of Economics. A group of artists used the Terra Prime deck to develop their pieces based around ecology and New Mexico.
For the last year I’ve been collecting field recordings in the Albuquerque Basin, a watershed that feeds in the Rio Grande river and surrounding aquifer. I recorded water and wildlife in acequias, ditches, gutters, streets, arroyos, and areas where water flows from the mountains into the river. Selected musicians then helped me record a score to accompany the sounds and images of this area. During this time I saw the Rio Grande dry up during the summer, which seems to become a recurring event in Albuquerque. Recently a Meta data center was constructed in Los Lunas where I grew up. The data center takes up millions of gallons of water from the aquifer that the people who inhabit this land drink from.
Teresa Esguerra provided percussion noise, Barney Lopez did bass, Lauren Poole provided vocals, Candace Morales provided vocals. Additional footage by James Sturges and Rusty Rutherford. Thanks to J P who has included me on their projects, and who organized walks through Albuquerque helped inspire this piece.

Platonic Ideal Original Soundtrack
by Tris Walsh
I recently wrote the original soundtrack to the play Platonic Ideal. It was ran July 23-25th, 2026 at the Box Performance Space in Albuquerque NM. It was produced by Liminal 77 and Dane Corbin. It was written by Julia Storch and directed by Katie Farmin. It starred Kane Distler, Lex Lotito, and Rhiannon Frazier.
“Beautiful” and “Ugly” are content with their life until Ugly makes a mask that allows her to experience life as her sister, Beautiful, does, creating a rift between the two sisters and complicating what they believed they are owed in life.
The Decline of Southwestern Civilization: Part 1
This documentary looks into Albuquerque’s underground music scene, where local musicians and artists have come together to make music for the love of it. It follows the people who create unique sounds, music, and noise and those who build spaces where these artists can share their work and connect with others.

Lyrics:
Right now, What I wanted to say Nothing gets in the way, Of you Right now, Every night every day Nothing stands in my way, Of you Right now, baby don’t go away No I need you to stay, so cold Right now, no I won’t go away Just believe when I say, I’m yours
